What is it that looks so scarlet red?Is is not the strawberries ripening on the hills?
As the strawberries ripen on the hills,
The glade looks scarlet red.
What is it that seems shining so brightly?
Is it not the sun rising from behind the hills?
As the sun rises behind the hills,
My village seems shining so brightly.
What is it that comes flying by?
Is it not the winged wild geese?
The wild geese come flying high above,
The time goes flying by.
What is it that goes away?
Is it not the beautiful season of fruits?
The time of fruits comes and goes,
The time of life goes away without return.
