La marginea mări
Este o fecioară
Ea brodează o rochie
Pentru regină.
 
Când este la mijlocul broderiei
Rămâne fără mătase.
Ea se apropie de un marinar
Care naviga o corabie.
 
Fecioara se urcă pe navă(corabie)
Ea alege mătasea
În timp ce negociază
Nava pleacă.
 
Marinarule, bunule marinar,
Întoarce-mă la ţărm,
Vânturile uşoare ale (briza) mării
Îmi aduc durere.
